Andy Grayndler — ministry, education & technology
A faith-shaped vocational journey, with a quiet love for tech.
Conversational Q&A style CV Summary.
So… who are you, Andy?
I’m someone whose life and work are shaped by faith. I’ve spent years combining study and ministry with practical service in schools and mission settings — and along the way I’ve learned to bring order, care and curiosity to the technical side of things too.
How did you get into this line of work?
It began with study and a practical call to serve. I did theology studies at Sydney Missionary and Bible College and training at South West Sydney Institute of TAFE. Those years gave me a framework of values — things like stewardship, patience and clear teaching — which I’ve applied in classrooms, pastoral settings and mission work. The result is a vocational path where learning and serving feed each other.
What kinds of roles have you worked in?
Mostly in education and mission contexts — classroom support, program delivery and pastoral care — where the focus is helping people learn and flourish. I’ve worked closely with schools and mission organisations to design programs, support students and manage the practical tasks that keep teams going.
How has your ministry and study affected the way you work?
My theological study and ministry experience taught me to prioritise people over processes. That means designing systems that help others, communicating clearly, and approaching problems with humility. Practically, that looks like patient training, thoughtful documentation, and a preference for reliable, maintainable solutions rather than flashy shortcuts. I have also extended my learning to encompass Introductory Pastoral Care and CPR & First Aid.
What do you do in your spare time?
Study cybersecurity, AI & LLMs, software development and exploring database management, digital forensics and ascii art.
What technical skills do you bring?
I’m comfortable with practical IT and investigative tools — systems administration basics, database work, software development fundamentals and an interest in digital forensics and cybersecurity. I enjoy translating technical complexity into plain language for teams who aren’t tech specialists.
Education & training?
I completed theology studies at Sydney Missionary and Bible College (Undergraduate Certificate in Theology) and a Certificate III in Education Support at South West Sydney Institute of TAFE, Campbelltown. I’ve also done ongoing self-directed study in IT, security and software topics.
What are you looking for now?
I’m open to roles where I can serve in education or mission-focused organisations — especially positions that value a blend of pastoral care, teaching and practical technical support. I enjoy environments that prize integrity, clear communication and long-term stewardship.
How can someone get in touch?
If this presentation resonates with you, I’d love to hear from you.
